POWDER COWBOY CAT-SKIING TOURS
Located 50 minutes west of Fernie, BC, and with an average annual snowfall of 35 to 40 feet, Powder Cowboy is a Cat Skiing experience not to miss. Powder Cowboy prides itself on it’s excellent gladed skiing/riding, charming rustic saloon and intimate ski groups, with a maximum of 12 people.
A day at Powder Cowboy begins at 8:30 am with a short ride to the cat pickup area. The cat ride to the start of the ski/boarding day is approximately half an hour. The skiable area comprises approximatley 2500 acres of fabulous scenary with open slopes and gladed trees. The terrain starts at 4500 ft and skiing goes as high as 7000 ft. The ski day generally consists of 8-12 runs, approx. 10,000-12,000 vertical feet, depending on the level of the group. A normal ski/snowboarding day runs from 9:00-4:00.
Accommodations are in cozy cabins located at the Bull River Guest Ranch. All Cabins sleep 4 people and have one bathroom. Cabins have one bedroom with twin beds and a twin bunk set with a privacy wall. There are no phones, televisions or computer hookups in the cabins. If You’re looking to get away from civilization, and to ski some deep powder, this is the place for you.
