 It's hard to believe this is season 5 with the show. It seems just like
yesterday that I retired from racing with the Canadian Alpine Ski Team.
While some days I miss the excitement of racing in Europe, it's nice to
finally put roots down at home in Canada.
Currently, I live in Kelowna in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British
Columbia. It's a great place to call home: I get to choose from 3 excellent
mountains on any given day. From here it's not a long drive into the
Kootenays for a deep powder fix, or the coastal mountains for some big lines
with good friends.
For those of you who watched my jacket bulge further with each consecutive
show last winter, I am pleased to announce the birth of Max David Wright on
April 26th. He is a wonderful little rambunctious boy who is keeping me on
my toes. I don’t know if Salomon makes boots small enough, but he’d be on
skis this winter if I gave him the notion that it was at all possible.
What am I enjoying the most this season? The thrill of skiing, and
discovering and rediscovering ski resorts! I look forward to each day in the
mountains and hope to inspire you to visit some of the amazing places that I
showcase.
