Joe Lammers — Host

Joe Lammers knows skiing. He has done avalanche control and mountain rescue as a ski patroller since 1992, and has worked in Whistler, Chile, New Zealand, Argentina and Revelstoke. He has skied all over the world as a professional freeskier and has been voted 'One of Canada's top freeskiers' by Ski Canada and Skier magazines. His first freeskiing competition was in 1994 (one of the first ever) in Las Lenas, Argentina, and after a few good results eventually became a judge on the International Free Skiers' Association World Tour. He has coached freeskiing clinics for Extremely Canadian and freestyle skiing for Camp of Champions. He has taught avalanche safety courses, climbed and skied big mountains all around the world and has been a contributing writer for a few ski magazines. He started skiing when he was 4, and since 1990 has averaged about 170 days a year on skis. He now lives in Revelstoke. BC and helps run the ski patrol at the new Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Joe is particularly stoked to be going into his 4th season of what he describes as the 'coolest job in the world'. As a regular host of Ski Television, Joe loves sharing his crazy sense of humour and unique perspective on the ski world with his audience. He skis for Columbia, Head and Bolle, and is in desperate need of a day off and a back massage.
