ST. MORITZ, SWITZERLAND
St .Moritz is one of the famous ski resorts in the world.The town itself has a population of about 5600 people and sits beside a lake at the foot of the Piz Bernina. It is easily accessible by rail from Zurich and is known as the “place to be seen” in Switzerland. St Moritz hosted the 1928 and the 1948 Winter Olympics as well as several other alpine skiing championships.
The beautiful scenery is a great backdrop for great skiing. There are over 350 km of runs with altitudes that range from 1800 to 3300 metres. Many of the slopes cater to the intermediate skier but there all levels available including some off slope for the more experienced. As well there is great snowboarding at St. Moritz with perfectly prepared runs and unlimited free ride areas.St. Moritz is the place to be seen and the place for great skiing.
