Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is home to the scenic Mount Washington Alpine Resort. This year-round resort destination is BC’s third most popular ski resort in terms of skier visits.
With a 30-foot or 9-metre average snowfall, 60 alpine trails and 1600 skiable acres, Mount Washington is the Island’s largest and most popular ski hill.
Mount Washington is located only 30 minutes from Comox Valley or a one-hour drive from the Nanaimo ferry terminal
This resort’s charm comes from its location. On a clear day, endless horizons will captivate your mind's eye. Carving turns in abundant snow with the peaks of the Coast Mountains and the vista of the Straight of Georgia in your view will have you coming back for more.
But if alpine is not your first choice interest, Washington offers 55 kilometres of cross-country and snowshoeing trails, a thrilling 300-metre natural luge and a snow tube park … this resort definitely has a lot to offer.
