THE DRIVE IS ON TO A GREEN GAMES IN 2010
As ski enthusiasts, we can all appreciate the beauty of the outdoors in the winter, and the thrill of skiing down tree-lined runs and glades. General Motors of Canada, and the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games understand the need to protect the outdoors to preserve nature’s beauty. As such, GM and VANOC are working together to ensure that the 2010 Winter Games will be the greenest Games ever.
In keeping with the goal of hosting the most environmentally friendly games in history, GM will ensure that 30% of the vehicles used at the 2010 Winter Games will be hybrid or advanced technology vehicles.
