The ski season at Portillo Resort in Chile is just getting going as the North American skiers put away their boards for a summer! This home of the 1966 world championships has hosted top competitors and enthusiastic recreational skiers since 1910 when they used the newly inaugurated railway trains as lifts between Caracoles and Juncal — now the present day Portillo ski resort.
